Huia Feather Earrings
The Huia was a native bird that sadly went extinct in 1924 due to predation by introduced mammals and to a lesser degree human interference. In Maori culture the Huia symbolised nobility, leadership and hierarchy. In creating these beautiful earrings I am honouring the bird and the strong symbolism it has for New Zealand culture.
These feathers are gorgeous to wear and with matching necklace will have you feeling the strength and mana of this sacred bird.
