Huia Feather Necklace
This necklace is a tribute to the Huia bird of New Zealand. Now extinct this bird was culturally important to the Maori of Aotearoa and is an iconic symbol of pride and strength, integrity and grace. My version of the Huia necklace is a double pendant with a shorter feather overlaying a longer piece creating a beautiful movement as you wear it.
Paired with matching earrings, or simply worn on its own, these feathers are a symbol of all that has gone before but not lost or forgotten.

Every piece is totally handmade from sterling silver including the feather and the hook. The feather is oxidized to produce a blackened finish.
I have a variety of chains available however this pricing is set for this particular combination with the 1.9mm wide, 45cm long sterling snake chain.
